Track 1
Ahora O Nunca is the classic, 'girl next
door story'. It features a guy falling for the girl next door but he hasn't the
courage to act on it. By the time the chorus comes around, he knows that it is,
"Now or Never".
Track 2
Suenos is a dream piece with a,'I want to
be more than your best friend', theme. Tired of being the shoulder to cry on,
the character wishes that she can get past Mr. Loser and see him as her knight
in shinning armor.
Track 3
Mr. Ugly Stick was actually written on
September 12, 2001. It's deals with the conflicting feelings I believe a lot
people experienced when we 'woke up one morning (9/11/01) in a different world
'.
Track 4
Alma Negra is probably the one millionth
and one song written about the girl on the glossy pages of a "Entertainment For
Men" magazine. O.K., moving on.
Track 5
Girando (Oh Sha La La La) was the last song
recorded on the project and is dedicated to all the #2 people in the world. It's
our best way of dealing with disappointment and setbacks. We twisted the
characters a bit and feature a guy just getting stepped on by 'Little Ms.
Popular'. In the chorus, there is a scene where he stammers out of a revolving
door and says, " In the end, I'll be the last one standing". What loyality and
what a relief it was to finally get this off our chests. Maybe that's where Oo
Sha La La La comes from.
